What this is
DTX Scope shows active Dallas police calls on a map, using the City of Dallas's public open-data feed, refreshed about every minute, plus a 30-day heat map and call statistics. DTX Scope is an independent project. It is not run by, endorsed by or affiliated with the City of Dallas or the Dallas Police Department.
Not for emergencies
Do not use this site to report or respond to an emergency. Call 911 for emergencies and 214-744-4444 for Dallas police non-emergencies.
Accuracy
Calls come from the city's feed as published. A listed call is a report police are responding to, not proof that a crime happened or of who was involved.
The feed can be late, incomplete or wrong. Locations are approximate (often the block, not the exact address), some calls can't be mapped, and call names are shortened into plain English by this site. Information may be out of date by the time you see it.
Using the site
DTX Scope is free to use for personal, informational purposes. Please don't:
- use it to harass, stalk or target anyone;
- overload or scrape the site or its data (automated requests are rate-limited and may be blocked);
- present it as an official city or police source.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, and may change or stop at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, DTX Scope and the people who run it are not liable for any loss or damage from using, or relying on, the site or its data. These terms are governed by the laws of Texas, and any dispute belongs in the courts of Dallas County, Texas.
